Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that the government has left the national average behind by reducing the unemployment rate of the state by a record 4.4 percent. The government’s ‘One District, Two Products’ scheme is increasing local livelihood opportunities, along with this, our traditional products are getting wide recognition at the national and international level through the ‘House of Himalayas’ brand. CM Shri Dhami said that initiatives like ‘State Millet Mission’, ‘Farm Machinery Bank’, ‘Apple Mission’, ‘New Tourism Policy’, ‘New Film Policy’, ‘Home Stay’, ‘Wed in Uttarakhand’ and ‘Saur swarojgar Yojna ‘ are strengthening the local economy of the state. Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami was addressing the students from across the state at the closing ceremony of the fourth edition of Oho Hill Yatra “Rajat se Swarn ki Ore” organized at Mukhya Sevak Sadan at the Chief Minister’s residence on Thursday.

Appealing to all the people of the state, CM Shri Dhami said that along with celebrating the silver jubilee year of the establishment of the state of Uttarakhand, we have to move forward with the resolve to make our state a leader in every field. The Chief Minister said that if every citizen of the state contributes with full loyalty, dedication and honesty in his respective field, then no power can stop Uttarakhand from becoming a developed, self-reliant and prosperous state.

CM Shri Dhami said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, our government is rapidly working to develop modern infrastructure in the state in areas like education, health, road, sports, drinking water and air connectivity. Along with this, work is being done towards making a developed India and developed Uttarakhand through ‘Local for Vocal’, ‘Make in India’ and ‘Startup India’. With the encouragement of the Prime Minister, Adi Kailash and winter pilgrimage have gained new momentum in the state. The state government has a big responsibility to organize the grand and historic Nanda Devi Yatra in 2026 and Kumbh in 2027.

Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami said that it is the result of these efforts that despite various challenges, our state has achieved many remarkable achievements in the last 3 years, whose echo is being heard all over the country today. The decisions being taken in Uttarakhand are becoming a model for the country.

Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that it is a matter of great pride that Uttarakhand has got the first place in the country in the index of achieving the goals of sustainable development for the year 2023-24 released by NITI Aayog. Along with this, Uttarakhand has also got the category of Achievers in Ease of Doing Business and Leaders in Startup Ranking. Recently, in the grand and successful event of the 38th National Games held here, the players of the state have succeeded in creating history by getting more than 100 medals and securing 7th place in the country.

CM Shri Dhami said that by implementing the Uniform Civil Code first in Uttarakhand, we have presented an ideal in front of the country. On the one hand, while we implemented the country’s strictest anti-copying law in Uttarakhand, we also made a law to stop religious conversion, for the first time in the state, action was taken against land jihad, love jihad and spit jihad, while we did not shy away from taking strict action against influential corrupt people.

Chief Minister Shri Dhami has said that as a result of strict anti-copying law, more than 22 thousand youth of the state have got government jobs in the last three years.

The CM said that today the employment scenario is changing rapidly. Due to technological innovation and global change, new employment opportunities are being created and old ones are ending. Incubation centers have been set up by the state government to promote startups and innovation in the state, as well as a venture fund of Rs 200 crore has also been arranged to assist startups. Our aim is that our youth should not only become job seekers but also job providers. There should be a proud return of migrants in Uttarakhand, not the pain of migration, where our villages are self-reliant and equipped with technical resources and modern facilities. With the motto of ‘Vikas Bhi, Virasat Bhi’, our cultural identity should become even more rich so that the coming generations can be proud of it. Our government is continuously committed to fulfill its “Vikalp Rahit Sankalp” of making Uttarakhand the best state of the country.

Praising the Oho Radio team, Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami said that every year through “Hill Yatra”, Oho Radio is inspiring the youth of the state, especially school students, to play an active role in building the future of the nation and the state by connecting them with a series of knowledge and dialogue.
