Seeking accurate information regarding how many women have benefited from the launch of various women empowerment schemes, Chief Secretary Smt. Radha Raturi has directed to conduct a performance audit of all the schemes related to women empowerment. CS has directed to remodulate the schemes by improving their quality on the basis of their impact on the target group. Chief Secretary has assigned the responsibility of working on the draft of remodulation of these schemes at the secretary level. Chief Secretary Smt. Raturi has instructed to conduct impact assessment of the schemes to ensure maximum benefit of the schemes to the target group.
Chief Secretary Smt. Radha Raturi was presiding over the annual meeting of the General Assembly of Uttarakhand Women and Child Development Committee under the Women Empowerment and Child Development Department at the Secretariat today.
Chief Secretary Smt. Radha Raturi has directed the Secretary Women Empowerment and Child Development to link all the schemes related to women’s livelihood run by various departments with the Mukhya Mantri Mahila Satat Ajivika Yojana . Along with this, she has instructed to work on a plan to organize educational tours for meritorious girl students across the country under the Girl Child Education Promotion.
The Chief Secretary has instructed to work on the action plan for distribution of sanitary napkins through Anganwadis to encourage hygiene during menstruation among women and girls even in remote areas of the state. She has instructed to work seriously by making the anemia eradication campaign for women a public campaign.
During the meeting, the Chief Secretary was apprised of the physical and financial progress of Child Welfare Fund, Sanitary Napkin Scheme for adolescent girls and women, Chief Minister Sustainable Livelihood Scheme and Uttarakhand Woman Integrated Development Scheme from the year 2019 to 2024.
Secretary Shri Chandresh Yadav, Shri Vinay Shankar Pandey, Shri Neeraj Khairwal along with officials from Education, Finance, Health departments were present in the meeting.
